Well, I saw these WWII heads used online for an IG army, and I loved the look of them, but once my order came in & I put them next to my Plague Marine torsos.... they seemed a little.... thin. So I looked around & found some plastic marine heads I wasn't going to use, filed their faces off, and glued the two halves together. Obviously there's going to be some GS required to fill-in the seams, but at least I can use these heads now.

Ooo...what are those gasmask heads, and where did you get them? I'm thinking perfect for my Traitor Guard...
ReplyDeleteHrm... I think you're doing more work than you really need to. The GS to bulk up the sides of the head and smooth the join to the plastic is going to build up and/or obscure a good bit of the plastic piece anyways. I'd suggest just pinning the metal head. Then use GS to bulk it up a bit and maybe add some small details. Then you'll also have the pin to help attach it to the torso. It might take some practice to get the sizing right, but would look and fit better. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteYou're probably right, Dverning. Now that I've actually put my hands on GS, and have a better grasp of how to work it, I think I'll probably go with your suggestion.
